The Holy Bible tells us about deliverance
from demons. Demons (evil spirits) are real, and all believers in Christ
have the authority to cast out demons, according to:
Mark
16:17 - And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name
they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues.
Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any
means hurt you.
The Bible tells us that our war is not against flesh and blood; but against
the powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly
realms, and that we are to put on the full armour of God, according to:
Ephesians 6:10-18
-
Finally, my
brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the
whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto
you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil
day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins
girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And
your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith,
wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God.
Praying always
with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto
with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
STEPS TO DELIVERANCE:
1. WE MUST
BE SAVED Stating our faith in Jesus Christ, His crucifixion
and resurrection, in prayer; and repent
(Confession and renunciation of our sins to God, with complete and total
surrender to God, and complete transformation of lifestyle).
DELIVERANCE PRAYER: Father God, I believe your only begotten,
divine and precious Holy Son, my Lord Jesus Christ, died on the
cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I am redeemed, sanctified
and justified by Jesus' precious blood and His perfect sacrifice has
cleansed me from all my sins.
Please fill my life with the Holy Spirit, come into my life and help me to
stop sinning.
I come to you now, as my deliverer. I claim the promise of your word in
Acts 2:21
-
"And everyone who
calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
I confess and renounce all my sins, past and present, known and unknown,
(you can confess and renounce your sins individually, e.g. the sins of
idolatry such as greed, gluttony etc).
In Jesus Name, I forgive everyone who has ever hurt me. I forgive
(names of relatives and/or others may be included here).
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to my Lord Jesus
Christ, according to:
Matthew 28:18.
Father,
I claim the promise of your word, in
Mark 16:17,
"And these signs
will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons," and we thank you for giving us all power and authority over all demons.
I cover everyone seeking deliverance in the precious Blood of Jesus
Christ.
I cover my body, mind, soul and spirit in the precious Blood of Jesus
Christ.
I cover my home in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
I thank you Father, for deliverance from demons and demonic attacks.
I declare that all demons have no legal grounds to operate in my life and
I cast out all demons, right now, in Jesus Name!
2. FORGIVENESS (regardless of the
offence) Crucial to a successful deliverance is forgiving, from the heart,
anyone who has ever hurt or offended us in any way
whatsoever.
Matthew
6:14 -
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
will also forgive you.
Blessings have a boomerang effect, thereby returning to the sender.
Witchcraft and slander (spreading false and damaging information about
others), also work on a sowing and reaping principle, thereby returning to
the sender.
There is grave danger for anyone who curses or prays against a servant of
God.
It has NO effect on a Child of God and automatically returns to the sender
because
again it operates on a sowing and reaping principle.
Galatians 6:7
- Do not be deceived: God
cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
Although we never associate with enemies,
we demonstrate our love for them by praying that they will come to a
knowledge of the truth through the proclamation of the Gospel; not doing them wrong and not conspiring to do evil
(See beliefs page - love topic), helping them in their time of need, for
example.
We always overcome evil with good.
We never harbor negative feelings and emotions such as anger, hatred or
bitterness, in our hearts, towards others.
Matthew 5:44 -
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good
to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you.
Demons have no legal rights to a person, if that person is in complete
submission to the LORD, and resists the devil.
James 4:7
-
Submit yourselves therefore
to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
God's standards and judgment is different to human standards and
judgment and Jesus tells us that you must take the log out of your own
eyes first, before looking at the speck in your brother's eye.
This means that if one who calls himself a brother and has a major sin, for
example, is sexually immoral or an idolater (log) and starts to judge the
brother who has a minor sin, (for example, has broken a jar without
apologizing (speck), must remove his log first before judging the brother
who has the speck.
Luke 6:41-42 -
“Why do you
look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to
the plank in your own eye?
How can you
say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when
you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first
take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the
speck from your brother’s eye.
Luke
17:3 - So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if
he repents, forgive him."
The above scripture mentions that if we are to judge a brother we must first
eliminate the sin (leaven) from our own lives first, before judging, so that
we are NOT hypocrites.
Because I myself am NOT involved in sexual immorality, that means I can
judge and rebuke one who IS involved in sexual immorality and that would NOT
make me a hypocrite. The Bible says to rebuke sinners
and expose all evil.
1 Corinthians 6:2
-
Or do you not
know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge
the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?
Ephesians 5:11-13 -
Have nothing
to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is
shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything
exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated
becomes a light.
2 Timothy 4:2
-
Preach
the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and
encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
Note:
If, for example, you are involved in sexual immorality, you have demons and you need to
be set free! (Read Tract: "You Can Be Set Free!" & "You Shall Not Commit
Adultery!").
3.
CASTING OF DEMONS should be on a
daily basis
to protect against any demonic attacks. Please read IMPORTANT NOTE
section.
WE ALWAYS COMMAND ALL DEMONS TO LEAVE IN JESUS NAME.
4. WE COMMIT OURSELVES AND OUR ENTIRE
LIVES TOTALLY TO GOD AND ALLOW CHRIST TO LIVE IN US.
We also fill our lives with the
NINE FRUITS OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Galatians 5:22-23
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is
no law.
* LOVE
* JOY
* PEACE
* PATIENCE
* KINDNESS
* GOODNESS
* FAITHFULNESS
* HUMILITY
* SELF-CONTROL
When we pray to God, he will show
us the sins and weaknesses in our lives that we must eliminate. God will
help us in those areas, through the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within
us. Upon repentance and baptism, we receive God's gift, the Holy Spirit.
5. PRAISE AND WORSHIP MUSIC, PRAYER AND FASTING
are powerful spiritual weapons against Satan and his demons.
NOTE: NEVER GIVE UP
WITH THE SPIRITUAL WEAPONS OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP, PRAYER AND FASTING UNDER
ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! OUR VICTORY WITH JESUS IS GUARANTEED!
IMPORTANT NOTE - BEFORE PROCEEDING: Please read Tracts entitled:
"Dangers Of The Occult: Exposed,"
"Exposing And Destroying Witchcraft!" And "You Can Be Set Free!"
Exorcism is for the demon-possessed!
For
Example:
In Jesus Name (Authority, Power and
Name of Jesus), I command demons of ........ to come out now!
Commanding the demons to leave the home is for the demonically oppressed!
For
Example:
In Jesus Name (Authority, Power and
Name of Jesus), I command demons of ........ to leave me now!
Read Tract: "You Can Be Set Free!"
Note:
Being harassed by demons usually
happens when there are legal grounds (as a result of unconfessed sin, and/or
possession of detestable materials, such as sexually-oriented material) for
Satan and his demons to operate in a Christian person's life. These legal
grounds must be removed and the demons cast out of the home.
It can also happen with a newly converted Christian who has previously
(before conversion) been heavily involved in occultism. This is why daily
prayer and casting of demons, with regular fasting is important, because
Satan will seek to regain entry into the person's life. Also, the person
will need to be set free from the demons that have entered through these
occult practices.
